Leapers for orgs in 2020 — supporting teams who want to work well with freelancers.

Four things we want to happen next year: to further build upon our work with individuals and supporting their mental health.

Note: I’m writing this as a work in progress to shape my thoughts. I’d love to know what you think. Please comment to help me make it more effective. None of these things replace our objectives to focus on supporting the individual freelancer — they build upon our work, and aim to impact the things outside of the individuals’ control.

As we rattle towards the end of the year - you’ll start to read all of the predictions and trends articles peddled around social media and LinkedIn.

I believe that we make our own future, so here are four Leapers “prodictions”, what we think is going to happen and what we are going to try and make happen in 2020.

For the past two years, we’ve been focusing on the individual: the intrinsic and extrinsic stressors that influence the self-employed experience. There’s a third influence outside of the control of the individual though — the hiring organisation, and we want to also work to tackle the challenges which lie in the relationship between freelancer and client.
