workfromhomenotes: 1

It’s not the first week of my work, nor working from home, but it’s the first week of capturing it for reflection.

_ Delivered the recommendations for an ethical data startup who I’ve developed a brand positioning for, and now needed guidance on how to build a strong digital brand. 💷

_ Met the team of a new project for a charity providing small business support, and starting to define what we’re actually trying to do. Project has gone from focused scope to stepping back and looking at larger digital strategy. 💷

_ Built the backend for Manual of Me: At Home edition, to make weekly updates easier, and to allow for showing question hints.

_ Started to revise the vanilla Manual of Me product, to make it simple and relaunch quickly for people remote working.

_ Launched the Calm Edition of our Working Well from Home guide — extended for the new reality of remote working, and less about “get prepared”, more about “get settled in”.

_ Wrote on “the benefits of a commute” [but I feel like people are taking it as i’m saying that commutes are good, which I’m not. people only read headlines].

_ Presented our “Working Well from home” session to Major Players employees though, and had some good feedback and emails from people asking for support. Was meant to be presenting two morewebinars, but they’ve been pushed back to later in the year.

_ Agreed and invested in a model for counselling support within the Leapers community with a partner, glad we have legit support in slack now.

_ Thinking on “how do we make Leapers financially sustainable”, as the workload [and cost of running] has ramped up considerably in recent weeks.

_ Schooled in how Minecraft works from my children. Rebuilt the playroom to be an indoor campsite. Had an easter egg hunt. Lots of LEGO. No homeschooling this week, but we did learn about linear vs. exponential graphlines, and discuss truth in the media. Cleaned the bathroom. Did laundry. Cooked. Watched Tiger King. Second week of online therapy. 👨‍👧‍👧

_ Drinking “They care we share” from Girls who Grind, a “gorgeous silky smooth coffee with juicy poached pear and spiced cardamom notes” from Peru. ☕

_ Cried watching Inside Out and almost in Tesco doing the weekly shop. Keeping an eye on my energy levels and mostly giving up by 3pm on weekdays. Ups and downs. Good Monday, rubbish Tuesday, okay Wednesday, but therapy took it out of me. Thursday-Saturday are just exhausting but with the girls, so emotionally positive. 😐
